Sun going down on another great week for Team Schlatter home-school, this year we are working a four day school week schedule and we are LOVING it!
“God prospers me not to raise my standard of living, but to raise my standard of giving.” ~ Randy Alcorn

30.1.13
30/365 White as Snow.
I have learned so much through this first 30 days of my challenge. First I have learned that if you purposefully search each day for something good to capture on photo, God is faithful to bring that moment to you. Also if you continually do something day after day the routine becomes habit, and I have loved looking through the lens searching for the good ~ God is faithful when we show up. Lastly there are so many moments that I have missed due to not looking for them, and not showing up. Change is a good thing!
29.1.13
29/365 Boo-Boo.
Team Schlatter is staying dry inside today as the rain is falling, waiting on snow maybe soon? Who knows in Iowa! Our weather is just like our memory verse "N", we can only imagine what is coming next. Our photo today is Boo-Boo our cat rescued from a customers motor when it came to get fixed ~ lucky cat :)
28.1.13
28/365 Proud Mom.
27.1.13
27/365 Kisses from Katie.
Team Schlatter was house bound today with the ice-rain-mud, and much to my delight I had picked up a new book at the library Thursday. Now I had forewarning from a friend that the book was heavy, even life changing -- could I ask for anything more on a day of rest when church was cancelled? If you want to be challenged, pick it up, if you want to stay comfortable, pass. LOVED it, watch out Haiti, Team Schlatter is planning trip #3!

23/365 Oh My.
Team Schlatter home-school is on letter "O" this week for memory work, it amazes me how they both can take God's word and hide it in their heart so quickly. I thought it appropriate that we use this week's verse with our photo today as I have to search for this little guy to get a glimpse of him ~ but Oh my how beautiful!
22.1.13
22/365 The Gift.
21.1.13
21/365 Do Not Worry.
Team Schlatter is hanging in the house today with them temperatures in the single digits! But looking out of our dining room picture window I caught sight of this beautiful bird hiding from the winds. After watching closer her and her male friend were sneaking food out of Soldier's dog dish on the porch.
20.1.13
20/365 Team Oliver.
What started as a photo shoot of my new smart phone has turned into a request... Team Schlatter would like to introduce another team today -- Team Oliver. Oliver, the young boy resting in his father's arms (Kurtis ~ Lori's Cousin) was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblasic leukemia. Today we are requesting that you pause what you are doing and say a prayer for Oliver, his family, and the medical staff that will surround him as he battles this disease. God bless you Team Oliver, Team Schlatter is rooting for you!
19.1.13
19/365 Clarabelle.
Today the Team Schlatter girls got to watch Clara and her 6th grade WACO girls basketball team get 2 wins at home! Hard to believe that 6th grade is here, and half-way to junior high already. Don't blink.

DAY 18 OF 365 PHOTO BLOG CHALLENGE...
With a four day school week Friday is a day of rest for Team Schlatter, well some of us, the kids and Princess had a great day of movie watching and relaxation. If I haven't mentioned it lately we LOVE home-schooling :)

Team Schlatter was able to go to the farm yesterday and see the first set of lambs that were born for the season. Two very excited girls, not to mention two excited dads -- OK lets be real we were all in the barn late last night taking a peek! LOVE that our two families get to share in the adventure of 4-H.

12/365 Teamwork.
We ended the day yesterday late with the Washington Demon wrestling tournament. Lots of photos and videos taken of Ben on the mat, however this photo with him congratulating his friend and teammate was my favorite.

Team Schlatter got to take in a WACO Basketball game this evening, and I tried my luck with the new camera on the basketball court. Thought I did all right catching the jump ball.

4/365 Sounds Good.
Today Team Schlatter went to the Center for Disabilities at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics for an annual hearing screening for Briana-Sue. Good news, her hearing has improved since our last visit!
The picture is of our favorite piece of art work in the waiting room. It is a moving sculpture that is mesmerizing.
3.1.13
3/365 Be Kind.
New Lego model by Ben and "B" of our alphabet memory work for Team Schlatter home school.
Little side note to this verse, when Briana-Sue first read this verse out loud to Ben and I in class she stated that it could be found in 1 Testicles, probably the one verse I will always remember where it can be found!
