Team Schlatter is blessed with some really good eggs, farm fresh, and friends :)

58/365 Taste and See.
Team Schlatter was spoiled by Dad today as he put rolls out to rise before bed, rose early himself to bake these delicious treats! How blessed are we with a great leader, husband, and father.

57/356 Let Go. Let God.
Team Schlatter life lesson -- Let Go. Let God. Team Schlatter was outgrowing, or should I say had out grown my our little orange bug. However I was not ready to let go, but I did a couple weeks ago. Within hours of me letting go, David priced it and sold it the next day. We found a replacement car on the auction but the bank wouldn't let it go for the price we bid. One week later we bid on the same car, but $600 dollars less than the week before -- they let it go! So remember "Let Go. Let God." His plan is always better then our own.

55/365 Hero.
A hero is someone, especially a man, who had done something brave, new, or good, and who is therefore greatly admired by a lot of people -- that is our Ben. In a year with more loses than wins, he is our hero for never throwing in the towel or turning away from his love of the sport.
54/356 Old School.
We surprised Coach Mike with new Old School Club t-shirts for the tournament. We are very blessed to have someone that Ben enjoys and respects to give him some one on one training.
53/365 Partner in Crime.
Team Schlatter headed out for a weekend of State AAU Wresting -- so proud of Ben qualifying this year 1 of 32! His partner in crime Larz came along for the weekend so they could both experience and enjoy State AAU Wrestling first hand. They have their goals set for 2014.

51/365 Cold Nose, Warm Heart.
Our sweet little Princess had to have her bangs trimmed this week (Team Schlatter home-school first!) so we could once again see those coal eyes of hers. She hides from the camera, I have honestly probably shot 500 pictures of this little thing only to fall in love with this one so far!

50/365 Motivation.
Team Schlatter was very motivated in 2013 to make some changes. This blog is changing my life, these first 50 days have taught me that I can make changes, I can stick with them, and I can make it a habit!
(The bracelet, was my something borrowed from my wedding! Thanks Mom. It sits on my shelf as my morning reminder of who I am and where I came from -- a line of strong women. So blessed to be a third generation "Louise" and my daughter the forth.)

49/365 Charlie.
Briana-Sue ventured out with the camera today, always exciting to see what she brings back -- a look at the world through her eyes. The camera was filled with her animals, her loves! I picked this photo of Charlie, her last year's bucket calf. He is going to be a big boy by fair time.

48/365 Frisbee.
Team Schlatter took the "day of rest" literal today, no alarms clocks set and all of us (David included) found ourselves still in bed at 10 am! We all set out to do chores and Ben and Soldier got a little frisbee practice in, they are becoming quite the team.
47/365 Hawkeye Wrestling.
Team Schlatter had a great Saturday evening at Carver Hawkeye Arena -- Senior night, coach Mike officiating, autograph signing, and photo ops with their favorites! What a blessing to young wrestlers, the entire Hawkeye line-up & coach signed autographs to everyone in line going way past their planned thirty minutes.
15.2.13
46/365 Grandma Vivian.
Team Schlatter had to play catch up today -- in the blog, visiting grandma, and quizzes for home-school -- that's what happens when you spend 16 hours at the State Wrestling Tournament! We had a great day of watching wrestling, but had to have our 10:30 am Thursday appointment with Grandma Vivian a day late. There is nothing better than knocking on her door knowing she is anticipating our arrival.
45/365 State Wrestling 2013.
I have always wanted to get into the mind of a wrestler, they willingly go onto the mat alone to take on their opponent. They train hard day after day, and all is revealed in 6 minutes or less -- no excuses. This is a photo collection of Jason Crosby, Tom "Bernie" Bate's nephew, this is photos of his first round pin.

44/365 Staircase.
Team Schlatter was showing a house in Crawfordsville today to potential renters -- we are so blessed that our rentals are staying full allowing me to be a stay-at-home mom and home-school...and fix houses, and do paperwork for LTR Auto, and take mission trips -- always an adventure!

42/365 Pain is Temporary.
Amazing how a song, or food can take you back to a certain place in time -- my memories have always hinged on clothes. Today my photo is of my brothers team sweatshirt from 1989. Just walking in to take the picture (It hangs in my craft-room as inspiration.) I was taken back to the days leading up to the state tournament, and reminded of how he gave up so much up for that one moment in time -- to become a Champion. (Funny thing, today is day 42 and his record that year was 42-0!) Their motto that year was "Pain is Temporary, Pride is Forever", my brothers death was painful -- but the pride I carry for his one moment in time will last forever.
10.2.13
41/365 Lips.
Team Schlatter had a great day starting with church and then splitting up : Briana-Sue for a afternoon at the Miller house, Ben to watch his 1st Hawkeye wrestling dual, David to push some paper on his desk, and I was blessed to cuddle with Princess in the Lazy-Boy! The picture of the day is my sweet Briana-Sue with Team Schlatter's letter K verse.

39/365 Lazy Lego Day.
Team Schlatter spent the day home~bound, sold our car yesterday, and all others are out on loan! A day in the life of our family, but what better excuse then to dive into the million Lego's and see what happens. Our photo is of an original Lego sculpture made by Ben, a robot Sponge Bob Square pants.

38/365 Soldier in Training.
Soldier is learning to stay off the carpet and in the foyer while Princess goes outside ~ he loves getting his paws inside the front door!

37/365 Sunny.
Day 37, hard to believe, I have to admit this is for sure the longest I have stuck with a journaling project. (Believe me I have tried many!) Today I remind myself that with any task that sometimes seems too large, we must as Proverbs tells us keep our eyes fixed on the goal ~ not let ourselves get distracted or discouraged.
5.2.13
36/365 Determination.
Team Schlatter went to Mediapolis tonight to watch the regional dual team tournament. We were able to watch a local boy, Brad Conley, get two wins helping the Bulldogs on to State! Brought back a lot of memories as the crowd went wild over a double overtime pin ~ love wrestling and the determination it takes to be a wrestler.

32/365 Locust Street.
Today was one of those day when the blog of the day didn't just jump out to me, so I went digging and found this picture from last week. It is a work in progress shot of one of my rental properties being renovated. The picture not to exciting, the verse when I went looking for it ~ awesome. Love it when I get a God wink (that is what my father-in-law calls them), some days like today while painting I wonder if I am making the right decisions for my business and then in black in white God gives me the answer, amen.
