Today Team Schlatter headed north to Hallettesville,Texas to spend the Easter weekend with family. Picture of the day is from our visit to the zoo. Late last night I was able to order a FREE photo book from Shutterfly with our favorite zoo photos, so excited for it to come!

86/365 Orange Slice.
Team Schlatter put the finishing touches on the mini-flip at Grandma and Grandpa's winter home. Leaving Alamo tomorrow and headed north -- will be sad to leave the bike riding, daily swims, and shuffle board :) Ben is ready to retire here, and has his name in on the new place when he retires!
26.3.13
85/365 Gladys Porter Zoo.
Team Schlatter got to spend the day at Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, TX today.
Simply put, we voted it #1 zoo!
25.3.13
84/365 Gulf of Mexico.
Team Schlatter got to visit South Padre Island today and see the Gulf of Mexico. It was windy and cool but always amazing to have our toes in the sand! Our picture of the day is Grandma Louise feeding the birds.

83/365 Rest Area.
Today Team Schlatter was at another flea market today. Had to take a little break in the rest area :)

22.3.13
81/365 Family Flip.
Team Schlatter was helping Grandma and Grandpa Schmitz get a jump on renovating their new winter home! Rearranging furniture within the hour of owning, and pile on the curb by lunch, paint on the walls by supper -- all in a good days work.
21.3.13
80/365 Smart Dog.
Team Schlatter caught this picture today while shuffle boarding with Grandma and Grandpa Schmitz. Must be one smart dog :)
79/365 Alamo, TX.
Team Schlatter has made it safely to Alamo, Texas for spring break! So happy to see Grandma and Grandpa.
19.3.13
78/365 Potty Progress.
Team Schlatter is glad to have a Haiti update today. While in Haiti our group gave funds with the help of Water 4 Haiti to a community to help finish a community toilet facility. (One side for men and the other women.) Handing over cash to an unknown man and project can leave you wondering if a job ever gets done. Four days later Water 4 Haiti posted the bottom picture of the walls already in place! Praise the Lord!
18.3.13
77/365 Schmitz Farm.
Tonight Team Schlatter got Schmitz Farm added to Facebook! I will get my hand at more sheep pictures in the near future. Click link Schmitz Farm to take a sneak peek at the page.
Schmitz Farm has an upcoming Open House Barn Sale -- Sunday, April 14th, 1 - 5 pm.
17.3.13
16.3.13
75/365 Success.
Briana-Sue has already learned that a successful fair season doesn't start in the summer, it is in the winter when others don't want to do the time and work. So proud of S2 (S Squared) Briana-Sue and Clara for all the hard work they have put into their sheep projects ~ and it's not even weigh-in yet!
15.3.13
74/365 Thirty-Seven.
My 37th birthday started with breakfast with friends, and ended with supper at our house with friends --
what a wonderful blessing to be starting another year of life with a clear vision of what, where, and why I am going somewhere :)
14.3.13
73/365 Ninety-Five.
95 Years Young -- best home-school class Team Schlatter has,
Grandma Vivian @ 10:30 am every Thursday!
13.3.13
72/365 Water.
Amazing what cold showers can do to your thinking. I must admit Team Schlatter was thankful for a warm shower when back in the states. Today however while washing dishes and water was running down my drain, I felt the guilt of clean water at my finger tips.
Today my post is a shameless advertisement for a great organization -- Water 4 Haiti check them out!
12.3.13
71/365 Eye, Ear, Mind.
Team Schlatter was back to home-school today, but must admit that Haiti is all that is on all of our minds. Today the verse is our letter "N" memory verse, and how great is was to see this verse in action.
11.3.13
70/365 Walker.
For God can do all things. Luke 1:37
It is an amazing day when you get to witness someone using the gifts that God has given them.
69/365 Spring Break.
Amazing things happened in Haiti ~ as one member said, "Why should we be surprised when this many believers get together to do God's work."
68/365 Work.
Mission trip complete for Team Schlatter, David found tools and motors in Haiti to get his hands on. This motor was part of a corn grinding mill that we were able to get set in place and see how it works. The village was hand grinding their corn so this was a huge upgrade!
67/365 Children.
They brought little children to Jesus that He might put His hand on them. The followers spoke sharp words to those who brought them. Jesus saw this and was angry with the followers. He said, "Let the little children come to me. Do not stop them. The holy nation of God is made up of ones like these. For sure, I tell you, whoever does not receive the holy nation of God as a little child does not go into it." He took the children in His arms. He put His hands on them and prayed that good would come to them. Mark 10:13-16
65/365 Chuck.
What a blessing to break bread and serve side by side with an awesome man of God. Thank you Chuck, Team Schlatter will never be the same -- nor wants to.
5.3.13
64/365 Snow.
Team Schlatter is packing their bags and making their final selections before we take off for the journey. Blessed are we to have grandparents to watch and home-school while we are gone. As you can see by the picture we have to face one last obstacle before getting on our way -- snow!
4.3.13
63/365 Pink Tag.
Team Schlatter had the noon shift of checking the ewe lambs left to have babies since Laura is back to work. No action, but Briana-Sue was proud to show me her lambs. Pink tags are easy to spot!
3.3.13
62/365 Don't Forget.
A little reminder to the Team Schlatter members headed to Wal-Mart without Ben -- look for the Lego model he had saved up for! His lucky day, Dad remembered with it written on his hand, and Mt. Pleasant had the model!
2.3.13
61/365 Go.
Team Schlatter has their bags packed, and mom and dad are headed back to Haiti Wednesday! Briana-Sue was sure to show us that she could fit in one of the check-in bags so she could go along, too bad she exceeded the 50 pound limit! Like our bible verse G -- Team Schlatter is ready to "Go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone."
1.3.13
60/365 Noodles.
Team Schlatter got to spend the day at the cousins on no-school Friday -- Clara and Briana-Sue did manicures and spent the afternoon making homemade noodles. Great teamwork that took four hours!
