30.4.13

120/365 Sick Day.

Today was day 2 of fevers for me, so Ben and I hung around together.  This is a crayon drawing he created today, his imagination is endless -- Love it!

119/365 Snake.

Team Schlatter got out this morning for dentist check-ups, when we returned this guy way waiting for us by the garage door!

28.4.13

118/365 Rachel's Birthday.

In a blink of an eye our children grow up, that's what crossed my mind today as Team Schlatter helped Rachel celebrate her 5th Birthday!

27.4.13

117/365 Shear Day.

Team Schlatter was at grandpa's farm shearing sheep today, Friday is weigh-in for the county and state fairs.  Always exciting to see the lambs without wool!

26.4.13

116/365 Rachel.

Walking for a cure with the Junior Diabetes Foundation, this little cat, Rachel, is who we walk for.

25.4.13

115/365 Got Milk?

Team Schlatter went on a field trip today to Hilltop Dairy, what a blessing to get to see what is happening in our own hometown!

24.4.13

114/365 Moon.

Was able to capture the moon, and learn something new about my camera.  Great day.

113/365 Presentation.

Bad photo of a great 4-H presentation, so proud of all the work and effort Briana-Sue put into it!

22.4.13

112/365 Oreo Kisses.

Nothing like a beautiful spring day to get the Team Schlatter motivated to get their school work done quickly today!  Once outside we were able to get the asparagus in the ground and clean up some landscaping.  When we stopped to visit the calves Soldier and Oreo exchanged some kisses.

21.4.13

111/365 Resting.

Many days the captions of a photo come to mind before I shoot the picture ~ some photos you just wonder what was being said!  Caught these two sitting down for a rest and having a drink together by the goat barn yesterday.  What a blessing to have "older" children that can have a little independence now.

20.4.13

110/365 Open Show.

Washington County Open Show 2013, Oreo and Briana-Sue, did a great job!

19.4.13

109/365 Storm.

Friday came to an end with Team Schlatter getting a little sunshine through the sliding glass doors.

18.4.13

108/365 Worms.

Team Schlatter became worm farmers today, Magic Worm Ranch box and all!
That's just what we do when God sends the rain :)

17.4.13

107/365 Letter W.

Team Schlatter has been working hard on the A~Z memory verses for home-school.  So proud of Ben getting letter "W" today without missing a word.  Hard to believe we have just 3 letters left, and our school year has almost come to an end!

16.4.13

106/365 Track.

Team Schlatter got to take in a WACO Boys track meet tonight.  My photo of the day is senior, Kevin Anderson ~ His mom reminded me I watched him as a boy in my home daycare, I can't be getting that old!?!?

15.4.13

105/365 Open House.

Team Schlatter was back to school today.  It gets harder and harder to keep the kids focused as the days get warmer!  Motivation for us to get it done.  Our picture of the day is with one of our buyers yesterday at the open house, Molly Miller (center) along with sisters, and Briana-Sue and Clara.

14.4.13

104/365 Bling-Bling.

Nothing says spring like bling-bling belts, blue jeans, and lamb sales.  Team Schlatter had a great day at the Schmitz Farm helping Uncle Todd with his sheep open house.

13.4.13

103/365 American Gothic.

If you want to be entertained, give the kids the camera and see what happens!  Team Schlatter was a Grandpa's farm getting ready for open house tomorrow, but found time to take some priceless pictures.  Photo of the day is Clara and Zach (cousins) and photo by Briana-Sue.

12.4.13

102/365 Cousin.

Team Schlatter had a Friday lunch date with the Martin's and Conrad's, love seeing cousin friendships bloom :)

11.4.13

101/365 Invent.

Proud mother of small inventors ~ what a blessing to get to spend my days following the imaginations of my children.  The photo of the day is a tractor invented by the imaginations of two best friends (Ben and Larz) and a pile of junk.

100/365 Raindrop.

Day 100 ~ I have learned that as I get deeper into a goal like 365 the "world" is more likely to discourage than encourage.  We have so many distractions and can easily start to believe that we are making no difference at all.

9.4.13

99/365 MG.

Today Ben was all about caricatures, and was determined to make MG! He did an awesome job, I am amazed at his talent.

98/365 Haircut.

I am reminded everyday as I watch her grow that she is getting ever closer to 13.  When she jumps in Heather's chair and says, "I think I'll cut it off and get layers!"  I know she is as all day she told me that she was growing it out :)  She is going to make a great young woman -- she already knows how to change her mind!

7.4.13

97/365 Fire.

Team Schlatter was doing some spring cleaning outside at the farm today, and ended the evening with a great bonfire.  Something very mesmerizing about fire.

6.4.13

96/365 Sheep.

Team Schlatter spent the day getting the barn ready for the open house next weekend. Ending the evening taking some sheep pictures.

5.4.13

95/365 Awareness.

Awareness is the state or ability to perceive, to feel, or to be conscious of events, objects, or sensory patterns.  I would like to say I was aware of autism prior to meeting Troy, however that would not be true.  I must say I have a new found love for the children and the parents of the children locked in this mystery.  What a blessing for Team Schlatter to become aware of autism through this precious boy. ( photo by Briana-Sue)

4.4.13

94/365 Fish.

Team Schlatter saw signs of spring today at Grandma and Grandpa Schmitz's fish pond.  All the fish made it through the Iowa winter outside!  It was great seeing them all come up to feed in the sunshine.

3.4.13

2.4.13

92/365 Home Sweet Home.

I missed the hugs and squeezes on camera of my kids seeing Grandpa and Grandma for the first time in months, but caught Clara today when we made it safely to Crawfordsville.  Always fun to get away, but always great to be home.

91/365 April Fool.

Who got pecked by a parakeet on Main Street in Siloam Springs, AR on her April Fool's birthday -- Grandma Louise :)  Many memories made on our spring break adventure with Grandpa and Grandma Schmitz.  Team Schlatter made our last stop today in Arkansas to see our favorite Razorbacks, the Ault's and momma and poppa Mullikin was an added bonus!
