31.10.13

302/365 Halloween.

Team Schlatter was in Crawfordsville for the Halloween party, hard to believe my kids are getting "to old" to trick or treat.  Next step, first junior high dance this weekend!

30.10.13

301/365 Spoons.

Team Schlatter is helping "Hawkeyes Helping Haiti" group to collect spoons for 2 Haiti schools.  When David and the crew returned from Haiti this last trip they saw this as a need at both of the schools when they visited.  A LARGE cup is at LTR Auto in Wayland if you have spoons to donate.

29.10.13

300/365 Hats Off.

Team Schlatter was in New London tonight... Hats off to the WACO volleyball girls & coaches for a great season, and to "Warrior Nation" for bringing back school spirit!

28.10.13

299/365 Old-New Barn.

Team Schlatter was blessed with a lot of help this weekend from family making our old barn new!  We took the old tin from the roof to finish the north side, and replaced the roof with recycled tin from Grandpa Les's NAPA store.  The heifers will sure be happy when winter comes.

27.10.13

298/365 Water 4 Haiti.

Our Haitian family, Water 4 Haiti, Zogaloo, Lopez, Sammy, and Chuck.  Amazing men with a heart for the Haitian people, for water, and for God.

297/365 A Feast.

A feast for kings, no a supper of thanks made with much love and effort for our team from Carlos and his family.

296/365 Backpacks & Shoes.

The mechanical mission soon became the backpack and shoe mission that so many people made happen, a huge THANK YOU to all who contributed.  With a two week timeline our group was given over 600 backpacks and hundreds of shoes.  God is Good!

295/365 Wells.

No motor, makes time for fixing wells.  One well they repaired allowed a village FREE water again, they were having to buy water from a local that was charging an unfair price.

294/365 Mechanical Mission.

David was able to get one vehicle up and going on his mechanical mission.  However the motor he had plans to install on this trip was stopped by TSA in Chicago for oil residue -- God had another plan.

293/365 Touch.

He's got the touch, once a dad always a dad.
Team Schlatter is so blessed with a great leader, husband, and father.

24.10.13

292/365 Baxter.

Team Schlatter chooses calves by their markings, can't go wrong with a heart on the head right?

291/365 Egg Salad.

When life gives you eggs, Team Schlatter makes egg salad!

290/365 Cheyenne.

This is one of my favorite photos of cross country 2013, Briana-Sue and Cheyenne.
(Cheyenne was one of my old daycare girls.)

289/365 Finish.

Cross country taught Team Schlatter many lessons, but most of all, finish.  So proud of Briana-Sue and the effort she put forth each race of her first year.

288/365 Challenges.

Ben's Lego challenge...make a gun like Pa's from Little House on the Prairie that would have hung over the door of their cabin.

15.10.13

287/365 Leaders.

Team Schlatter would love to give a shout out to all the WACO high school members of the cross country team.  They have been great role models and leaders to Briana-Sue.  You have know idea what your kindness this year has done for one little warrior.

286/365 Sunny.

This is the life.

285/365 Girlfriends.

They teach one another more than I could ever do in the classroom.

284/365 Pay it Forward.

Briana-Sue had a chance to "pay it forward" with a new little showman on Saturday.  What a blessing to see her help another little girl with the same love of cows!  Also great that she could give back to a family who has done so much for Team Schlatter.

12.10.13

283/365 Miss Ava.

Team Schlatter was at Tipton, Iowa kicking off the new show season with Miss Ava.

9.10.13

280/365 Join 4-H.

Team Schlatter celebrated "4-H Week" by kick-starting the new 4-H year with a new 4-H club the Jefferson Juniors.  Mom and Dad as co-leaders with another great family and Team Schlatter with two 4-Her's this year!

8.10.13

279/365 Arrow.

Today Team Schlatter was at Clemmons Creek shooting range for homeschool archery class.

7.10.13

278/365 Blind.

Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man's eyes.  He told him, "Go wash yourself in the pool of Siloam" (Siloam means "sent").  So the man went and washed and came back seeing!
John 9:6-7

5.10.13

277/365 Farm Life.

Team Schlatter started to work on the new renovations to the old shed -- from storing junk to storing hay and straw and cows and calves in the spring!

4.10.13

276/365 Peace.

PEACE.
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work.
It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.
(unknown)

275/365 Lies.

This girl runs with heart, could not be any prouder.

274/365 Pray.

1.10.13

273/365 Bailey.

Team Schlatter has taken in a lot of WACO volleyball this year.  This is a photo collection of a friend's daughter who is a senior on the team.

272/365 Omaha Zoo.

Team Schlatter and the Schmitz' had a great day at the Omaha Zoo.

271/365 Sculptures.

The boys found plenty to do at Aksarben as well, here with the sculpture, later riding the mechanical bull!

270/365 Aksarben.

Aksarben was the last show of the season for Team Schlatter.  Briana-Sue did a great job in showmanship.

269/365 Flat.

Team Schlatter is now grounded from traveling on Ben's birthday next year if it is up to Ben.  Two broken axles and two flat tires later we drug the trailer to it's resting place for the weekend!
